With our campsite in the Aube Aux Rive du Lac **, welcome to Champagne, with its vineyard and cellars.
This is where the world-renowned and highly appreciated “CHAMPAGNE wine” is produced and which you can taste in many winegrowers’ cellars.
Visit Troyes (the town with ten churches) and its magnificent half-timbered houses, the Épernay cellars, Châlons-en-Champagne Abbey, Reims with its Gothic cathedral and art-deco architecture, as well as the landscapes of the Marne and Meuse valleys.
Take a trip to the medieval town of Provins (a UNESCO world heritage site since 2001) to discover its streets and underground passageways... The town also offers original performances (equestrian falconry) in a medieval setting.
Don’t miss: The Dosches windmill and Renoir’s (impressionist painter from 1891 to 1919) home in Essoyes. In addition, there are a number of museums to visit: Hugues de Payns (Knights Templar museum) in Payns, the Museum of Crystal in Bayel, the Camille Claudel Museum (a friend of Rodin - sculptures) in Nogent sur Seine.
